Mixing is the process of balancing and shaping all recorded tracks to create a cohesive and polished song. A mixer adjusts levels, panning, EQ, compression, reverb, and other effects on each track, ensuring the elements fit together, have clarity, and convey the desired emotion. The goal is to translate a rough multitrack session into a unified stereo (or surround) mix that sounds good across different listening systems.
Mixing services are priced between $150 and $350 AUD, depending on the complexity and any time needed to address recording or performance issues. Each package includes up to five free revisions, and extra revisions can be added for an additional fee.
